Organisers of Beverley Westwood Parkrun say the town has embraced the event. Their comments come just weeks after the event was launched in the town.
After 18 months in the planning with the support of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Beverley Town Council and also the Pasture Masters, it continues to go from strength to strength.
Beverley Pasture Master Allan English says it is brilliant to have an event like Beverley Westwood Parkrun.
His comments come following the hugely successful launch of the event last Saturday. In all, over 400 runners took part in an event that was widely praised.

Councillor Denis Healy is challenging his colleagues to take part in the new Beverley Westwood Parkrun.
His comments come after he took part and completed the first-ever Parkrun held in the town.
