Beverley 10K Race Report & Finishing Times

Hundreds of people turned out in Beverley on Sunday to watch the annual 10k road race organised by Beverley Athletic Club. A record 1089 runners completed the testing course in cool and damp conditions. Darran Bilton of Leeds City AC won the race for a record tenth time, finishing in 31.42 and beating last year’s winner Tony Valentine of Bolton United Harriers by almost a minute. The pair had run…

Cattle & Sheep Back on Beverley Westwood

One of Beverley’s traditional seasonal features, the grazing animals, have started to appear on the on the Beverley Westwood. Sheep with their lambs and cattle are starting to come back to the pastures that surround the historic market town. Motorists are advised to proceed with care while driving across the Beverley Westwood.

150 Runners Take to Beverley Westwood

More than 150 runners from local running clubs gathered on Beverley Westwood on Tuesday evening for the third race in the 2010 Champagne League. Organised by City of Hull Athletic Club, the popular league consists of 10 races of various distances in rural East Yorkshire. HALO Competition held in Beverley

Beverley hosted the first event in the new Yorkshire Urban Orienteering League last Sunday. Organised by Humberside and Lincolnshire Orienteers (HALO) the event attracted 48 competitors some of whom had travelled considerable distances.
