The college, near Beverley, is the home of the Hull City Tigers Academy. As a result, talented students are in a position to be spotted by the club and academy prospects released by the Tigers are able to continue playing at a high level with the college.

Biggest Foundations Live Event Yet Brings Skills Debate To Region

Foundations Live, the region’s biggest co-located construction trade and careers event, took place for the third time this month. As an event, it attracted by far the biggest audience yet, with over 1,000 people in attendance across the day. 

The event saw hundreds of industry professionals and schools visit Bishop Burton College’s equine arena, which hosted more than 70 companies exhibiting products and services and advising hundreds of students on how to gain a route into the workplace.

Construction Trade And Careers Event Returns For Third Year

Foundations Live, the region’s biggest co-located construction trade and careers event, will be hosted for the third time this year on 10th October at Bishop Burton College, East Riding of Yorkshire.

The event, held in partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), will address an increasing demand in skills and employment in the region’s workplaces. It is estimated more than 9,000 jobs in the sector will be available in the next five years, with total growth in the Yorkshire and Humber region forecast at 1.1%.
