Beverley and Bishop Burton College will again Feature In Pock 7s

Beverley and Bishop Burton College will again take part in Yorkshire’s oldest rugby seven-a-side tournament, the 59th John Smiths Pock 7s, at Pocklington RUFC, next Friday (14 April).

The event has been held in Pocklington every Good Friday since 1959, and it has grown from humble beginnings into one of Yorkshire’s biggest sporting and social days out, with the local rugby fraternity plus many ‘ex-pats’ making their way to Percy Road for an annual Easter reunion.

An exhibition took place at the college featuring a visit from leading interior lining supplier British Gypsum. The visit was organised and co-ordinated in partnership by Hull-based construction firm Hobson & Porter and UK materials supplier Jewson.

This edition marks the 15th year of the guide’s publication and is the biggest yet, running to 40 pages. The guide is packed with information on local food producers, suppliers, retailers and hospitality businesses that are proud to incorporate local produce into their menus.
