This was always going to be a tough encounter on the East coast against a side that will contest the Tom Beeutiman Cup Final against Cottingham Tigers next month but the way the blue and golds played in the opening 30 minutes suggested an unlikely victory.
The blue and golds took 2 valuable league points last Saturday at the Leisure Centre in a game which they appeared to dominate from start to finish but astonishingly only won by 10 points.
The blue and golds get back to league action this Saturday with a trip to face Lambwath Lions. Lambwath now play their home games at the Eastmount Community Centre Longhill.
The blue and golds bowed out of the Tom Beautiman Cup on Saturday at the Beverley Leisure Centre. They had ample opportunity to win this tie and will again kick themselves for not making the most of their chances in attack.
The blue and golds will resume playing this weekend in the second round of the Tom Beautiman Cup at home to Haworth Park. The two sides met only three weeks ago in the league with Beverley ARLC being edged out 24-22 in a game they led for long periods.
Watching the two sides warm up last Saturday at the Leisure Centre, the sheer physical presence of the West Riding outfit was always going to be a deciding factor in this Yorkshire Cup tie.

The blue and golds will be very disappointed to have not taken both points from this encounter at Haworth Park. They led 12-0 after 15 minutes and were 22-14 up with just 15 minutes to go.They clearly have the ability to win games like this but a little bit of tactical naivety at times proved to be their undoing.
