There is still time to enter the Bridlington Beach Fun Run on Sunday, 4 September, even though registration for the inaugural race has closed.
There will be a Fun Run for children and adults who aren’t interested in running the full 5k. A medal will be given to all participants, and entry will cost £2.
Sunday, 4 September will see a brand-new event in Bridlington – the inaugural Bridlington Beach 5k and Fun Run.
The event will take place entirely on the beach and is restricted to 300 runners. There will be a Fun Run for children and those who do not wish to run the full 5k.
It was a hot day for the for the record turnout of nearly 1600 runners who completed the twenty third Hall Construction Beverley 10k road race last Sunday.

Beverley Athletic Club’s Carla Stansfield was first female runner to complete the Burton Pidsea 10k road race last weekend. She was also first runner overall for Beverley, completing the flat, rural route in 37:14
Athletes from local running clubs and from further afield gathered at Great Hatfield last Sunday to take part in the Hornsea 1/3 Marathon. Beverley AC put in an excellent performance, fielding the winner of the women’s race and two top-ten runners in the men’s race.
