More details have been released about the Bridlington Weekend of Motoring 2018, to be held on Saturday and Sunday 8 and 9 September, organised by Tour Britannia on behalf of East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Once again, the weekend will feature a wide range of events to appeal to anybody with an interest in any aspect of motoring.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s cabinet has agreed to award a contract for the extension and partial refurbishment of South Cliff Holiday Park, and work on the site will begin imminently.

A new exhibition opens at Sewerby Hall and Gardens on Saturday, 24 March : ‘Musical Memories – The World of Herman Darewski’ will take visitors back to the Bridlington of the 1920s and 1930s.

Bridlington’s popular Park and Ride service reopens for business on Saturday, 24 March, and runs until 4 November, 2018.
Park and Ride offers a frequent service, with buses running regularly from South Cliff Holiday Park to the harbour. Costing only £4.50 per vehicle (up to five passengers), Park and Ride represents excellent value for money, and buses run until 6.15pm each day.

Venues in Beverley have in recent years enjoyed some success at the Best Bar None awards. In 2016 the Queens Head was rated as the Best Independent Pub while the Kings Head won the Best Pub in the East Riding.
The ground has been broken on an exciting project to create a linear park along the banks of the Gypsey Race through the centre of Bridlington.
The project, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will be delivered in phases over the next two years, with phase one anticipated to be complete by autumn.
For the first time ever, the leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Councillor Stephen Parnaby OBE, and leader of Hull City Council, Councillor Stephen Brady OBE, will debate with each other as part of The Business Day at Bridlington Spa on Friday 8 June. The leaders’ debate will be chaired by The Right Honourable Alan Johnson.
With business networking at the heart of a day of discovery and insight, 650 business leaders from across the region will also hear from headline speaker Joanna Lumley, social entrepreneur Josh Littlejohn and Yorkshire cricketing legend Geoffrey Boycott. The Business Day will be hosted throughout by journalist and broadcaster Naga Munchetty.
