Mill Lane United beat Swanfield 2 – 0 at Broadgates in a pre-season friendly. On target for United was Luke Thompson and Jordon Dexter who scored a goal each. Mill Lane United showed off their impressive strength and depth. Beverley’s oldest football team was out in force at the Norwood Recreation Ground for their annual presentation night. The club had invited the Mayor of Beverley, Bessie Foot and Les Ford of the Beverley Lions. The annual Beverley 10k road race takes place on Sunday 9 May.  Motorists are advised to avoid the area around the Beverley Leisure Centre and Minster immediately before the start of the race.
