Beverley Braves, eager for the last match of the season, was faced with an opposition who sadly had only 10 players so the Braves lined up with the same to make the match a more even battle.
The Beverley Braves had not played as a team since 22nd June so they were all hungry for a game. The whistle blew and the entire team were ready for battle against fourth place Featherstone.

This was a friendly fixture on paper but on the pitch it was a different story. Both sides were without key players and the players remaining had to play in different positions to what they are accustomed to.

On a bitterly cold morning Beverley piled on the pressure early pinning Isberg on their own line with some great tackles from James McGahey and Darren Benstead.
It was almost a perfect start to the new season when new signing Harry Inman nearly scored within the first few minutes with a brilliant run and although there was no points on the board it certainly sent the right message to the opposition and set the tone of the game.
This was a tough match for the Beverley Braves, Dewsbury play first division rugby in Yorkshire and the winner of this match would claim a quarter final place in the Yorkshire Cup
The Beverley Braves knew a strong start was needed against this tough Dockers side and they did just that with a number of impressive runs. The pressure paid off as Nathan Collinson bravely got possession back for Beverley on the Dockers
