The game got off to the perfect start for the Braves when a high kick from Wyke was cleanly taken by Joe Wardill on the half way line and he saw a gap and accelerated through the defence to score before Wyke even had time to settle.

Beverley travelled to Leeds to play in their first Cross Yorkshire fixture. Facing an unknown side they had to make an impression from the off and you could see on their faces that they were up for the challenge.
After a ferocious encounter last week against old rivals East Hull in the last of the summer 9 a side competition Beverley had to be tough in this league fixture as they returned to 13 a side game.
Beverley had to dig deep this Sunday against a Skirlaugh side who are undefeated in the league. After some excellent games in previous weeks the Beverley Braves were up for the challenge despite having players missing on holiday.
Beverley kicked off on this sunny Sunday morning with determination against a big Myton side and within the first few minutes, they had put the visitors under pressure to force an error and give possession to the Braves yards from Myton’s line.

After a week off Beverley had to bounce back with style and they did just that. Harry Bullyment set the tone for the game with stunning successive tackles from the off and then Beverley started their attack.
The Beverley Braves did not have the best of starts to this Peter Lowthorpe Under 14 Cup semi final as they had to soak up massive pressure on their line from the off but Owen Harrison spoilt the attack with an excellent interception
In appalling conditions the game kicked off with both sets of supporters not expecting to see a good standard of rugby in such bad weather. Credit must go to all the players out on the pitch for holding on to the ball so well.

Right from the whistle the crowd knew this match was going to be a physical one as Dockers initial attack was a massive charge down the middle of the pitch, their strength was obvious and the battle had commenced
