A group of neighbours in Beverley have set up a Neighbourhood Watch Group to work together with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Humberside Police to tackle the problems of anti-social behaviour in their area.
The new group covers the areas of Grovehill Road, Cherry Tree Lane, St Nicholas, Priory Road and Chantry Lane.
Beverley Building Society have made their latest donation to the winners of their Charity of the Month competition which was won by HEY Smile Foundation.
Voted for by members of the Society, HEY Smile Foundation won the prize of £250, money they say will be used to support the work they do in the regions communities.
A Beverley woman, Eileen Brown (63) of Cherry Tree Lane, appeared before East Yorkshire Magistrates on Tuesday 19th November 2013 and pleaded guilty to two counts of benefit fraud.
Graham Stuart, the MP for Beverley and Holderness, will be visiting the Cherry Tree Advice Centre on Friday 2nd November at 3.30pm to discuss efforts to stop domestic abuse.
