Beverley AC has seen an extremely busy summer, with members running in several high profile events, with some very noteworthy performances.
Fourteen Beverley runners were fortunate enough to experience the huge Great North Run on 10 September, with nine completing the 13.1 mile course in under two hours.
Timmy Davies produced a personal best at last Sunday’s Humber Bridge Half Marathon, which was almost good enough to give him 1st place as he came a close 2nd to the winner

Fourteen athletes from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Bridlington last Sunday for the annual Brid Half. The challenging undulating course takes runners out into the East Yorkshire countryside via Sewerby, Flamborough and Bempton and returns via Sewerby to a finish on the sea front. Whilst their club mates were tackling the hilly cross-country course at Bishop Wilton three Beverley athletes were running the Chester Marathon. Rob Snaith was the first of the trio to finish. He completed the 26 mile course in 2:50:07 in 23rd position overall and in 12th place in his age category. Andy Johnson was next to cross the finishing line.
