Beverley Athletic Club’s athletes had a cold and frosty start to their cross country race last Sunday. Held in the grounds of Sledmere House, this was the fourth race in the 2013/2014 East Yorkshire Cross Country League

The annual Humber Bridge 10k road race took place last Sunday and members of Beverley Athletic Club joined a field of over three hundred runners to race across the bridge and back. Hull played host to the second Hull 10k road race last Sunday. Conditions were perfect for Sunday’s Burton Pidsea 10k and a record number of runners took part. The 10k and fun run raised £1600 for the village hall appeal. This year’s Mucky Duck 8½ mile race attracted a record entry and 229 runners completed the challenging multi-terrain course around Driffield last Sunday. Organised by Driffield Striders, the race was more windy than mucky this year, testing the athletes’ stamina even more on the tough, hilly course.
