Over 300 runners and walkers set off from Brantingham village to compete in the annual Rudolph’s Romp 24-mile challenge event on Saturday 5 March. The event had been postponed from December last year due to heavy snow. Seventeen members of Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Robin Hoods Bay last Saturday to take part in the Smugglers Trod challenge event on the North Yorkshire Moors. This year the Long Distance Walkers’ Association 100 mile challenge walk took place in Scotland – the objective being to complete the set route within a continuous 48-hour period.
