More than a hundred dedicated runners assembled at East Hull Harriers clubhouse in Saltshouse Road on Boxing Day to run off the excesses of Christmas Day in the club’s annual Boxing Day 10k.

Both teams severed up some entertaining football, this was AFC Tickton’s first home game of the season and it did not disappoint. AFC Tickton came back from an early goal to win the first match 2-1, to the delight of the coach.
This game proved to be a tough ask against a strong Hull Dockers second string. The hosts trailed 20-0 at the break and had to play 50 minutes of the game with only 12 men following the dismissal of full back Steve Connolly.
After several weeks with no local events, athletes from Beverley Athletic Club enjoyed a return to racing at the Major Stone Half-Marathon last Sunday.

Pete Watkinson of Beverley Athletic Club celebrated his 60th birthday in style by running the challenging Wales Marathon last Sunday. He crossed the line in 77th place in a commendable time of 3:41:02.
The Longcroft Year 9 Rugby Team won the West Hull and District Rugby League Rally on Wednesday 23rd May. They were the victors in all three games against Trinity House, Kelvin Hall, and Hull FC’s Sirius “Rugby League” Academy.
