The thirtieth Beverley Chamber Music Festival will bring music to East Yorkshire next week. There will be a bumper anniversary programme bringing internationally acclaimed performers to the East Riding.
A gala of two-piano music will be presented by Martin Roscoe in his final concert as joint Co-Artistic Director with long-time collaborator Peter Donohoe – who played at the first-ever BCMF in 1993.
130 young musicians across East Riding are to feature in Big Play – a live-streamed performance taking place on Tuesday 10 November which will be watched by schools across the county from their classrooms. Friends and family are also invited to tune in from home or enjoy viewing later on catch-up.
The brightest stars of the UK’s classical music scene are preparing to visit Beverley for the 2019 Beverley Chamber Music Festival.
Running 25th – 28th September, the festival welcomes two former winners of BBC Young Musician of the Year, violinist Jennifer Pike and cellist Laura van der Heijden, as well as the renowned Brodsky Quartet, to join its Co-Artistic Directors, pianists Martin Roscoe and Libby Burgess.
Returning to Flemingate Car Park on Sunday, 7 July 2019 at 4pm, The Multi-Story Orchestra is bringing one of the most famous pieces of 1960s music – Terry Riley’s In C – to Beverley for an unmissable performance for all the family, joined by East Riding Youth Orchestra.

Next month sees the return to Beverley, Yorkshire, of the New Paths music festival.
