Reflections Of Japan In East Yorkshire Exhibition Opens This Weekend

‘Reflections of Japan in East Yorkshire’, a unique exhibition bringing together a selection of items from private collections across East Yorkshire and artwork by Laura Boswell, opens Saturday 16 October at Beverley Art Gallery in the Treasure House.

The idea for the exhibition came about over two years ago when the Japanese Embassy introduced the ‘Japan-UK Season of Culture’, a celebration of the many facets of Japanese culture in the UK.

The blue and golds make the trip to Pontefract this Saturday to play Chequerfield Rangers in a pre-season friendly. The new season will commence the first weekend of September and the picture is now a little clearer as to the make up of the two divisions. Beverley ARLC were beaten at the Beverley Leisure Centre by visitors Embassy. In a heated game tempers flared up mid way through the first half with players from both sides becoming involved in an altercation.
