Beverley Guildhall is hosting the first outing of a ‘Popup Memory Museum’ showing audio-visual presentations aimed at stimulating people’s memories of Beverley, and starting with a specially-created video of ‘Memories of Hodgson’s Tannery’.
The first memory museum will be on show to the public until July. The short film gives people a chance to relive the history of the town in a very different way.
If you missed it the first time round have no fear as The Yorkshire Film Archive is back with a final opportunity to experience the popular Beverley on Film.
‘Beverley on Film’, a new free exhibition presenting aspects of the history of the town on film, will open at Beverley Guildhall on Friday, 22 July, and run until Friday, 18 November, 2016.
For many, the local area and its heritage are a great source of pride and it is both a privilege and a joy to be able to visit museums and archives to see first-hand the objects that compose local history.
