The blue golds now out of the Challenge Cup will switch their attention to the depth of the squad as they continue their preparation for the new season.
With the squad in mind the club have arranged a friendly for their Academy side against Skirlaugh Bulls this Saturday at the Beverley Leisure Centre in a 2PM kick off.
The blue and golds came away from their first ever trip to the Highfields University ground with another two league points to add to their midweek victory at North Hull Knights.
It rounded off a thoroughly good week for the club and sees them rise from second to bottom on the table to fifth.
The blue and golds clinched their first league points of the season in a penalty riddled encounter at the Leisure Centre last Saturday. Almost every technical offence appeared to prompt a blow of the whistle.
It was an important day off the field with club entertaining sponsors and Beverley did manage some well worked tries in between the stoppages to at least put on something of a show. Injuries to Billy Riby, Lewis and Josh Poskitt and the late withdrawal due to work of Ryan Anson forced Howdle to juggle the starting lineup. Lewis Campion started at full back, Ben Naylor on the wing, and Jack Humphries slotted into the halfs.

A kick downfield by the visitors was fielded by Anson, who went on a run to the line beating countless defenders running from one corner of the pitch to another.
The blue and golds will continue their pre-season this Saturday with a fixture at home to Eastmoor Dragons in the 2PM kick off at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
The Wakefield based outfit, who ply their trade in National Conference Division 3, are one of the oldest and longest established amateur rugby league clubs in the game and should provide the hosts with the ideal test. They are effectively just one division above Beverley.

Hull Isberg came out the eventual winners in a very tight game at the Beverley Leisure Centre. The early stages of the match saw Isberg pressuring the Beverley line, but the focused Braves defence kept the Hull side out. Beverley then found good field position and a brilliant dummy from scrum half Ethan Cambridge saw him make space and out pace the Isberg defence to dive over for the opening…
The Beverley Braves got their season underway at the Beverley Leisure Centre. The Junior Rugby League side were missing a number of players and despite their best efforts Beverley were unable to keep Cottingham Tigers at bay.
