Beverley ARLC will commence their 2014/15 campaign this Saturday. The make-up of the two divisions in the Hull & District League has now been confirmed.

Beverley Town Cricket Club got their Newland League campaign off to bad start as they were beaten by Fenners at the Norwood Recreation Ground. Batting first Fenners set Beverley a target of 107 but managed just 83 runs in reply.
This was a pleasing performance from the blue and golds last Saturday on their travels. They trailed 8-6 at the interval but produced a dominant second half display to run out convincing winners.
These two sides produced an entertaining encounter at the Beverley Leisure Centre last Saturday which but for the final ten minutes looked as if the result could have gone either way. It was probably the blue and gold’s best performance of the season against a side still unbeaten this season.
The blue and golds were frustrated last Saturday when their fixture against Haworth Park Rangers became a victim of the heavy rains that fell on East Yorkshire during the week.
The blue and golds took 2 valuable league points last Saturday at the Leisure Centre in a game which they appeared to dominate from start to finish but astonishingly only won by 10 points.
This was probably Beverley’s most disappointing performance of the season at the Eastmount Community Centre last Saturday. They managed to field a fairly strong lineup with only Gavin Proctor a late withdrawal due to injury.
Beverley have appointed a new head coach at an extraordinary meeting at the Hodgsons last Monday evening. After a diligent application process they have appointed Guy Adams. He brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the table at the age of only 33.
This was a creditable and encouraging performance by the blue and golds against a side in third place in the league. A combination of suspensions, holiday and work commitments left them without key players
Beverley ARLC return to action after a three week layoff this Saturday. They will play Fenners away in the first round of the Council Trophy. Beverley still have 2 outstanding league fixtures remaining.
