No one wants their Christmas and New Year ruined by being unwell. So the NHS and its partners are urging people to stay well this winter by being prepared.
They are offering the following advice to people in the area to ensure that they can enjoy the festive period.
Pregnant women and young children are being urged to take up the offer of a free flu vaccination this winter.
Among those most at risk from getting ill are pregnant women and young children. As a result, mothers are advised to protect themselves, and their unborn babies, from the disease.
In this, the 70th year of our NHS, NHS East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) held its fifth annual general meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 18 September 2018. There was a fantastic turnout with around 70 people attending from members of the public, staff, councillors, voluntary and community services and provider services.

Following a thorough procurement process NHS East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has agreed to award a 5½ year contract to Yorkshire Health Partners Limited, (on behalf of the combined federation of local GP practices) from 1 October 2018.
The contract, worth around £10 million in total, will provide access to routine and same day appointments with general practice (GP) clinicians 7-days a week in additional evening and weekend clinics across East Riding of Yorkshire.

Thursday 5 July is 70 years to the day health secretary Aneurin Bevan launched the NHS in 1948, and to celebrate the Hull and East Riding Health Expo will take place at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on Ferensway in Hull.
The event will start at 10am and continue until 4pm, with members of the public invited to come and go throughout the day. NHS East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (ERY CCG), including clinical leaders, has today (21 July 2017) been recognised by NHS England for its ‘exceptional leadership’ and has demonstrated improvements in a range of clinical areas in the 2016-17 annual performance assessment.
