A number of volunteers from across the Humber region were recognised at the HEY Smile Foundation’s Time2Volunteer awards.
A total of almost 300 volunteers, award category sponsors, and partners attended the event, including East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Hull City Council, and Hull CVS. We had the opportunity to thank those who give their time to help others.
Beverley Town retained their Humber Premier League title after they beat Crown FC 3 – 0 to be confirmed as champions for the second consecutive season.
Goole AFC registered their first win under new boss Curtis Woodhouse as they beat Lincoln United at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds.
Given the absence of Beverley’s sports teams from town this weekend I decided to hit the road and visit a new club in the East Riding, Goole AFC.
