New Financial Year Measures Give Vital Support To Businesses Says MP

Graham said a series of tax cuts, wage rises, pension increases and duty freezes – first announced in November’s Budget – will ease pressure on tight household budgets and encourage investment in the local economy.

Over £1m To Be Invested Fixing Potholes In The East Riding

CADEY brings together local fundraisers, charities and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to drive a more comprehensive strategy towards defibrillators.

Graham was speaking ahead of the second meeting of the CADEY committee, which will be responsible for encouraging fundraising, improving coverage and increasing awareness of where heart defibrillators are and how to use them.

Graham Says East Riding Is Due Record Investment For Jock’s Lodge Revamp

Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart, has accelerated his campaign to secure £40 million of funding from the government to transform the dangerous Jock’s Lodge junction. Graham said that the East Riding deserves substantial investment in its infrastructure following major regeneration deals for other areas across the North.

Having met the Transport Secretary to make the case in person, Graham has now written to Jake Berry, Minister for the Northern Powerhouse, and the Chief Executive of Transport for the North, Barry White, to lobby them to support the funding request.

Post Office Funding Welcomed By Local MP Graham Stuart

Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart, welcomes the news that the Business Secretary, Greg Clark, has pledged to secure the future of the Post Office through £370 million of funding.

Funding will be used towards helping branches to extend opening hours, cut queue times and protect rural branches like the one in Cliff Road, Hornsea, which is re-opened with a temporary postmaster in place while a permanent replacement is sought.

Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart, praised Modular Building Manufacturers Paragon Space as he visited the local business at their Burstwick site. The small company, which employs 11 members of staff, have recently won a five-year hire contract with the NHS to provide temporary consultant rooms for Weybridge Hospital.

Paragon Space have been operating in Burstwick for three years and, having built up from scratch, now design, manufacture and install modular buildings for clients across the UK.
