Beverley Town Cricket Club second team suffered a seven wicket defeat as they were well beaten by Sewerby.
A strong bowling performance by Sam Welburn and Matthew Saint ensured Beverley Town Cricket Club beat Pocklington at the Norwood Recreation Ground.
It was heartening to see Beverley and Sutton field sides containing young (and some old) players and score almost 450 runs between them in a competitive good-natured manner.
Beverley Town U13`s delivered the clubs first silverware of the season, winning the EYCA U13`s Knockout Cup in an excellent final against Sutton CC U13`s at Sutton. Sutton won the toss and asked Beverley to bat first . Kieran Simpson and Harry Gamble opened the batting and Simpson was bowled in the first over to a good ball from Sam Graham. Beverley Town Juniors held their end of season awards. Special guest on the night was John Blain a former Yorkshire CC player. Awards were given for Players Player, Best Bowler, Best Batsman and Coaches Player.
