Former World, Olympic, European, Commonwealth and British 400-metre hurdles champion Sally Gunnell joined more than a thousand runners in the McCain Yorkshire Coast 10k road race in Scarborough last Sunday. Mucky Duck 2010

This year’s Mucky Duck 8½ mile race attracted a record entry and 229 runners completed the challenging multi-terrain course around Driffield last Sunday. Organised by Driffield Striders, the race was more windy than mucky this year, testing the athletes’ stamina even more on the tough, hilly course. In cool and drizzly conditions, perfect for racing, 33 runners from Beverley Athletic Club joined over 1500 others in the Brass Monkey half marathon.
