Ferens Art Gallery has acquired a rare painting by the much-celebrated Baroque artist Valerio Castello (1624-1659).
Tobias Healing the Blind Tobit (c.1650) is a mature, multi-figure masterpiece on loan to the gallery since 1973, where its poor condition has prevented its display.
Following a long and thorough procurement process NHS East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has agreed to award a five-year contract, of around £27 million per annum, to City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) to provide community services across East Riding of Yorkshire from 1 April 2017.

People in Hull can be part of a human ribbon of red light to mark World Aids Day tonight. People are invited to the Stage@theDock amphitheatre, where they will be given a red light to hold up. Participants will form a red Aids ribbon and a photograph will be taken and shared on social media.
The event is organised by sexual health organisation Yorkshire Mesmac, which will join people and organisations around the globe in marking World Aids Day.
