Ian Pollard has expressed his disappointment to how the Hull and District League was brought to a conclusion after Beverley were denied the title despite finishing top of the league.
In appalling conditions with swirling wind and rain the Beverley Braves who are the undefeated side of the Hull and district league played host to top side West Hull currently in Division 1 of the Yorkshire league in a friendly fixture.
Schoolgirl Leia Cole was presented with a national rugby league volunteer award at the Grand Final at Old Trafford last week. Leia gives up a great deal of her spare time to help coach the Beverley Braves cubs and under eights and this was originally recognised by the Hull
Beverley Braves continue to fly the flag for rugby league in the county town of East Yorkshire with player membership continuing to increase at all age levels.
Beverley Braves Rugby League are looking for a coach for their Under Eights team for the new season in the Hull and District League. Playing experience would be preferable and the club will pay for all required qualifications, including a level one coaching certificate, for the right candidate.
