Beverley Youngsters To Represent Team GB

Four Beverley youngsters have been selected to represent Great Britain in the World Biathle Championships in Bulgaria in September. Beverley Athletic Club Juniors had a busy and successful weekend taking part in the third meeting in the Humberside Track and Field League and the Burton Leonard Fun Run. Youngsters Shine in Eccup

Beverley Athletic Club Juniors travelled to Eccup in West Yorkshire last weekend to take part in the Eccup Junior Road Races. It was a very successful day out in the countryside with the youngsters bringing home more than half the prizes available. Taylor Arnott won the one mile race in 6:21 and Jordan Peacock was the first girl to finish.  She was third overall and completed the course in 6:54….

Back to Back Walkington 10k Wins For Bilton

Darran Bilton of City of Leeds AC won last week’s Airkool Walkington 10k for the second year in succession. He completed the challenging course in 33 minutes, 22 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, Phill Taylor of Bridlington RR. Goole Riverbank Challenge

While their club mates were running across the Humber another group of athletes from Beverley Athletic Club was running along the banks of the Ouse in the Goole Riverbank Challenge. The 8.73 mile route is mainly off-road next to the river Ouse near Goole, crossing stiles on the way out and on the return. B&A Scaffolding Beverley 2K Results & Times 2011

The 2011 Beverley 10k was supported by the B&A Scaffolding 2k fun run from Beverley Leisure Centre which attracted a field of 234 runners including Bertie the Beaver and Roary the Tiger. Chapman Leads Girls to Third Place in Hartlepool

Beverley Athletic Club Juniors travelled to Hartlepool recently to take part in the sixth race in the North Yorkshire and South Durham Cross-Country League. The race at Summerhill was hosted by Hartlepool Burn Road Harriers and is considered the toughest in the series.
