Two Beverley Runners Finish in Top Three At Burton Pidsea

Conditions were perfect for Sunday’s Burton Pidsea 10k and a record number of runners took part.  The 10k and fun run raised £1600 for the village hall appeal. The race was won by Steve Bateson of East Hull Harriers in 32.49.  Beverley Athletic Club’s James Pearson came second in 34.45.  He was followed 2 seconds later by Jonathan Leskiewicz who is on excellent form.  Steve Peacock finished in eighth position…

Beverley Juniors Dominate Withernsea 5K

Beverley Athletic Club athletes enjoyed a trip to the seaside on Sunday to run the Withernsea 5 and fun run, organised by Withernsea Harriers.  There was a record entry for both races and the offer of free fish and chips for all finishers in the 5 mile race proved a big attraction for Beverley runners. Beverley AC Represented Humberside at IAAF World XC Trials

Ten Beverley Athletic Club athletes represented Humberside last Saturday in the McCain UK Cross Challenge Final at Cofton Park in Birmingham.  The televised meeting included the IAAF World Cross-Country Trials at senior and under-20 level and the UK Inter-Counties Cross-Country Championships.
