RUGBY UNION : A Disappointing Day For Beverley
Wind, mud, and a day to forget for Beverley. Given the conditions there was never likely to be much finesse on view but Waterloo played by far the better rugby and fully deserved to win.

Plenty of endeavour and spirit but it all got rather bogged down in the wet and heavy going. Both these high scoring sides are in fine form at the moment and on a dry day this would probably have been a cracker.
Another afternoon of thrilling rugby and another good win for Beverley. Beverley at the moment are in a rich vein of form, averaging over 35 points a game in their latest ten matches.
Maybe not quite the performance of the season but not far off it. To come away from Rossendale with a bonus point victory is no mean feat and Beverley did it in some style.
A workmanlike display and a good win for Beverley. Apart from a scrappy twenty minute spell in the second half this was an enjoyable but unspectacular game.
Beverley began the second half of their league programme with a comfortable win in damp and murky conditions at Penrith. There were periodic bursts of good rugby but generally this was a pretty low key affair.
Once again so near and yet so far for Beverley RUFC. They led here for threequarters of the match and with three minutes to go had the game won.
A useful two league points for Beverley RUFC but it could have been better. They had by far the greater share of the game and played the slicker rugby.
Back with a vengeance. After two disappointing defeats Beverley got their act together and played some thrilling rugby here to romp home with eleven tries, seven of them converted.
A day to forget. Beverley were given a comprehensive going over here by a Billingham side playing with far greater verve and efficiency. It was comfortably Beverley’s poorest display of the season.
At halftime this match looked as good as all over. By the end it had become a hard-fought rousing contest. Despite wet conditions underfoot and a near gale both sides played with bags of adventure producing an afternoon of nine tries and plenty of excitement.
This was more like it. After several disappointing performances in which they have not done themselves justice Beverley had a comfortable win here and looked to be back at their best.
Beverley RUFC cannot afford much more like this. They have enough quality to be a top six side yet they have now lost five matches, at least four of them games they should have won.
Not much joy here for Beverley. They handed Stockport two converted tries on a plate, struggled to make much impression, and generally
What a match. You will not see much rugby more exciting than this. With five minutes remaining Beverley had this pulsating game won at 32-23 but Rossendale came back with a converted try and then won it with a try at the death.
An exciting but ultimately disappointing return to National League Three for Beverley. Beverley have never won at Morley where for some unaccountable reason they invariably go to pieces so perhaps there was no real surprise in the result.
Rarely, if ever, in its 130 year history has Beverley Rugby Union Club enjoyed such a successful season as that just ended.
