Beverley AC’s Carla Stansfield was the first female athlete to cross the line in last Friday evening’s Airkool Walkington 10k road race, organised by Beverley Athletic Club.
Over a hundred runners turned out on New Years Day for the Beverley Lions Annual Fun Run. Those taking part were given the option of three different course that ranged from 3KM to 10KM.

There was a great atmosphere in Beverley last Sunday when a record 1240 runners completed the twentieth Hall Construction Beverley 10k.

Conditions were perfect for running last Sunday when the final race of the 2012 / 2013 East Yorkshire Cross-Country League took place at Sewerby. It was firm underfoot with a few muddy sections and unusually for Sewerby there was no wind.

A team of six athletes from Yorkshire Biathle Club, travelled to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates recently to represent Great Britain at the 14th World Biathle Championships. They had a very successful trip and returned home with several team medals and one individual medal.
The second race in the East Yorkshire Cross-Country League took place at Drewton Woods near South Cave last Sunday. It was a gloriously sunny day and conditions were perfect for cross country running.
The third Deepdale Dash 10k took place at Barton-on-Humber on Sunday and a small group of runners from Beverley Athletic Club travelled across the bridge to take part.
Two teams from Beverley Athletic Club travelled to Mansfield last Saturday to represent the club in the Saucony English Cross-Country Relays.
The Bridlington Half-Marathon took place last Sunday and attracted runners from all the local running clubs, including Beverley AC.
Beverley Athletic Club was represented by junior and senior runners at the Cleethorpes Beach Cross-Country event last Sunday. It was cold, wet and windy but well worth the trip as the juniors won several prizes.
