Beverley AC junior athletes were in action over the weekend, as Richmond and Zetland hosted the 6th North Yorkshire South Durham cross country fixture at The Old Race Course Low Moor Richmond.
Beverley AC sent a team of 10 men and 1 woman plus a large number of juniors, joined the field at the Humberside County Championships at Weelsby Woods, Grimsby, last Sunday.
Sunday saw the second running of the Yorkshire Marathon in York. This race is run in memory of Jane Tomlinson and profits from the race go to that charity.
It was a clean sweep for Beverley AC athletes at last weekend’s JSR College Canter cross country races, held at Bishop Burton College.
Beverley AC’s Carla Stansfield was the first female athlete to cross the line in last Friday evening’s Airkool Walkington 10k road race, organised by Beverley Athletic Club.
Beverley Athletic Club’s Carla Stansfield was first female runner to complete the Burton Pidsea 10k road race last weekend. She was also first runner overall for Beverley, completing the flat, rural route in 37:14
There was a fantastic atmosphere in Beverley last Sunday when a record 1299 runners completed the twenty first Hall Construction Group Beverley 10k.
Last Saturday, 34 Beverley AC runners took part in the 39th Humberside Cross Country Championships. The races, for male and female runners in different age categories, were held in muddy conditions on the Beverley Westwood

A total of 33 Beverley AC runners competed in the Humber Bridge 10k race last Sunday. Run by City of Hull AC, this is a well established and popular race which has been getting bigger every year.
Beverley Athletes were amongst over 400 runners who completed the 13th annual Kirkbymoorside 10k last Sunday. The course was rural and challenging with long, steep hills.

Junior and senior athletes from Beverley Athletic Club enjoyed a day out at the seaside on Sunday when they took part in the Withernsea 5 mile road race and 3k fun run.
Beverley Athletic Club Juniors travelled to Harrogate last Saturday to take part in the Stray 5k and 2.5k races. Organised by St Aidan’s School, the races start and finish in the school grounds and follow a flat course round the Stray

On Bank holiday Monday Beverley AC Juniors took part in the Kit Bell Memorial Meeting organised by Grimsby Harriers at King George V Stadium in Grimsby.
There was a good turnout by Beverley Athletic Club Juniors in the twelfth Kirkbymoorside 10k and fun run last Sunday. They had a choice of 1 mile, 5k and 10k distances and the hilly terrain tested them all.
