Venues in Beverley have in recent years enjoyed some success at the Best Bar None awards. In 2016 the Queens Head was rated as the Best Independent Pub while the Kings Head won the Best Pub in the East Riding.
A well liked and respected man in Beverley, Tommy Anderson has sadly passed away at the age of 90 years old.
Tommy, who was originally for the North East of England had been living in Beverley for 60 years, during which he became a well known and a much liked member of the community.

A Beverley bar has been crowned the best in the East Riding at a ceremony to celebrate the best licensed premises in the county.
The King’s Head in Saturday Market was named the overall winner in the fourth East Riding Best Bar None awards, which were held at Beverley Racecourse on Wednesday, 23 November.
