A fine day, a lovely ground, superb conditions; all that was needed here was an afternoon of good rugby. Plenty of good rugby there was but unfortunately most of it came from Percy Park. Beverley had an afternoon to forget.
An exciting but ultimately disappointing return to National League Three for Beverley. Beverley have never won at Morley where for some unaccountable reason they invariably go to pieces so perhaps there was no real surprise in the result.
Beverley rounded off their league campaign in fine style to end the season twenty points clear at the top of North One East. In the twenty six games played they suffered only two defeats and scored 1229 points at an average of 47 points per game.
You couldn’t ask for much better than this. Beverley RUFC have played some tremendous rugby in the course of this season but not much that has surpassed this for quality. It was not so much the number of tries they scored but the sheer quality of them that was so impressive.
Job done. Beverley RUFC needed just two points to be certain of finishing as champions of North One East and they duly got them here. They were far from their best for most of this match but who cares.

Back to League action on Saturday for Beverley RUFC. Keighley are the visitors and the Beavers will be looking to maintain their winning run against a side which is struggling towards the bottom of the table.
