Beverley AC has seen an extremely busy summer, with members running in several high profile events, with some very noteworthy performances.
Fourteen Beverley runners were fortunate enough to experience the huge Great North Run on 10 September, with nine completing the 13.1 mile course in under two hours.

July not only saw the continued success of the Walkington 10k event, but also several notable performances from Beverley runners at local events and some from further afield.
Becky Briggs was Beverley Athletic Club’s stand out athlete once again at last Friday evening’s Walkington 10k road race, winning the women’s race and taking 24th place overall in the event.
A Beverley runner has had major success in the 2016 Paris Marathon. Linda Wright, in only her second marathon, came 466th in her age category at the event run in early April.

The inaugural Burton Constable 10k race, organised by East Hull Harriers, took place last Sunday. The race was fast and flat, on trails through the grounds of Burton Constable Hall, landscaped by Capability Brown.

Timmy Davies produced a personal best at last Sunday’s Humber Bridge Half Marathon, which was almost good enough to give him 1st place as he came a close 2nd to the winner
