Beverley Whitestar U16s suffered a narrow defeat as they were beaten by East Riding Rangers 4-3 at Longcroft School missing the chance to leapfrog their opponents in the table.
A big game for Whitestar they came very close to overturning Rangers who reside just one place above them in the Hull Boys Sunday Football League.

Best-selling local author David Mark visited Longcroft School Library to talk to English sixth form students about how he became a successful writer.
Mark, whose latest book Cruel Mercy is due for release in February 2017, has written a string of crime novels based around the character of DS Aector McAvoy, and set in Hull.
Longcroft school held their annual Carol Concert at St Mary’s Church with the students performing to a packed house.
