Beverley Grammar School, in Beverley, East Yorkshire was founded in 700 AD and is the oldest state school in England.

Beverley Ladies Circle welcomed their new Chair and it was made all the more special as the handover event was held on the 80th birthday of the Ladies Circle organisation.

Last Saturday saw the return of the Humber Bridge Mile in Memory. It has been a couple of years since the event took place over the bridge and what a welcome return it was with well over 100 people taking part.

Cineworld was taken over by James Bond fans who were at Kingswood to see a special premier of the latest James Bond film Skyfall. Organised by Louise Barrett the event was supported by Cineworld and Hatfields Motors and raised £1862 for FSID.

On the weekend of 14/15th May 2011 thousands of people all over the UK will be walking a mile in memory of a baby they loved and lost in what has become an annual event. Last year over 80 walks took place all over the world raising over £65,000. Since 2011 is FSID’s 40th anniversary we want to make this year’s Mile in Memory even bigger and better! Louise Barrett…
