Members of Beverley Athletic Club enjoyed an energetic bank holiday weekend taking part in the Smugglers Trod challenge event on the North Yorkshire Moors.
The first race of the 2011/2012 season of the East Yorkshire Cross-Country League took place last Sunday at Bishop Wilton and more than 150 athletes from eight local running clubs lined up at the start. Beverley Athletic Club fielded a large squad of 33, among them several new members competing in the league for the first time.
