Junior and senior runners from Beverley Athletic Club are celebrating their success at the Yorkshire and Humberside Cross-Country Championships which took place at the Northern Racing College near Doncaster last weekend. With many events in December cancelled due to the weather, athletes from local running clubs were pleased to get back to normal by taking part in the third race in the East Yorkshire Cross-Country League last Sunday. The second race in the East Yorkshire Cross-Country League took place at Drewton Woods, near South Cave last Sunday.  It was a gloriously sunny autumn morning and the ground was soft but not muddy making conditions perfect for a good race. East Yorkshire Cross-Country League Gets Underway

It was a very wet start to the 2010 / 2011 East Yorkshire Cross-Country League on Sunday as athletes from local running clubs made their annual trip to Bishop Wilton.  Finishing times for many of them were slower than last year due to the boggy conditions.
