Dog owners are being reminded that restrictions excluding their pets from certain parts of beaches along the East Coast will be enforced from Saturday, 4 July this year, having been temporarily suspended in May.
The introduction of the annual exclusion, enforced by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, was delayed this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Having been inspired by the efforts of the Beverley in Bloom Group who drew in all parts of the community, to make the town a better environment in which to live, and being a finalist in the Britain in Bloom campaign, it was felt that Beverley Town Council should try and carry on the momentum and revive the Brighter Beverley Group.
Local Artist Emma Garness is currently transforming a corner of Beverley with mural of a Sweetheart Pin Cushion as part of the Beverley Town Council’s WW1 Centenary commemorations. .
Emma who has worked on a range of projects including the ‘Bankside Gallery’ in Hull is working on her latest project in her home town of Beverley in the Memorial Gardens.
Beverley Town Council, Beverley in Bloom and town volunteers are busy planning for the summer planting and associated horticultural, environmental and community projects within the town which will contribute to the RHS Britain in Bloom campaign 2018.

The annual exclusion, enforced by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, will run until Saturday 30 September and was brought in to help families and visitors enjoy the seaside without being bothered by nuisance dogs or fouling.
