Rodmell Claims Fifth in Rudolph’s Romp

Over 300 runners and walkers set off from Brantingham village to compete in the annual Rudolph’s Romp 24-mile challenge event on Saturday 5 March.  The event had been postponed from December last year due to heavy snow. Beverley Walkers Complete Gruelling 100 Mile Challenge

This year the Long Distance Walkers’ Association 100 mile challenge walk took place in Scotland – the objective being to complete the set route within a continuous 48-hour period.  Two Beverley Athletic Club members, David Williams and Mike Atkins, took up the challenge and set off from Dunkeld with 450 others to the obligatory swirl of the pipes. Beverley Get Two Top Ten Finishes in the Horsea Marathon

The Hornsea 1/3 Marathon attracted a record entry this year and raised much needed funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.  271 runners completed the 8.7 mile road race organised by the Rotary Club of Hornsea and East Riding.
