The annual Beverley 10k road race takes place on Sunday 9 May. Motorists are advised to avoid the area around the Beverley Leisure Centre and Minster immediately before the start of the race. One of Beverley’s traditional seasonal features, the grazing animals, have started to appear on the on the Beverley Westwood. Sheep with their lambs and cattle are starting to come back to the pastures that surround the historic market town. Beverley was brought to a grinding halt yesterday as the scheduled Hengate Roadworks began.
