What seemed an uncertain situation just before the Christmas break, with the club seeking a new head coach, has seen the club probably enjoy one of the most positive pre-seasons in many a year.

This year the competition has attracted an entry of 25 sides. 18 teams will contest the first round on 18 January with 7 sides receiving a bye to the second round on 15 February.
The Blue and Golds just preserved their NCL Division 2 status in 2019 by finishing 9th in the table.
A mid-table or play-off spot seemed possible earlier in the season until a run of six successive defeats in July and August. Attentions are now turning to 2020.
