Last Saturday, 34 Beverley AC runners took part in the 39th Humberside Cross Country Championships. The races, for male and female runners in different age categories, were held in muddy conditions on the Beverley Westwood

Nine of Beverley’s junior runners and two senior men travelled to Acklam, near Middlesbrough, to compete in the 1st of the North Yorkshire/South Durham Cross Country League races for 2013/2014.
Beverley AC’s Carla Stansfield convincingly won the women’s race, crossing the line in 42:33, over four minutes in front of the second placed woman and a very strong 12th place overall.

Almost two thousand runners took part in the 2012 Northern Cross-Country Championships which took place at Pontefract Racecourse last Saturday.
