Youngsters Shine in Eccup

Beverley Athletic Club Juniors travelled to Eccup in West Yorkshire last weekend to take part in the Eccup Junior Road Races. It was a very successful day out in the countryside with the youngsters bringing home more than half the prizes available. Darran Bilton of City of Leeds AC won last week’s Airkool Walkington 10k for the second year in succession. Dawson Hits The Jackpot in Burton Pidsea

The 2011 Beverley 10k was supported by the B&A Scaffolding 2k fun run from Beverley Leisure Centre which attracted a field of 234 runners including Bertie the Beaver and Roary the Tiger. Beverley Athletic Club Juniors travelled to Hartlepool recently to take part in the sixth race in the North Yorkshire and South Durham Cross-Country League. The race at Summerhill was hosted by Hartlepool Burn Road Harriers and is considered the toughest in the series. Two Beverley Runners Finish in Top Three At Burton Pidsea

Conditions were perfect for Sunday’s Burton Pidsea 10k and a record number of runners took part.  The 10k and fun run raised £1600 for the village hall appeal. Beverley Athletic Club’s Junior section were awarded the Tigers Cup in recognition for their achievements in the 11th Humber Bridge Half Marathon.
