Busy Bees nursery in Beverley, is celebrating after receiving an ‘outstanding’ rating following its latest Ofsted inspection on 3 July 2018. Less than 10% of early year’s settings in the UK hold this rating.
The nursery received this exceptional ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted, the official body for inspecting schools, after attaining a perfect score in three areas of inspection.
There are celebrations at St Mary’s CE Primary School in Beverley after the school received a ‘Good’ rating in its recent Ofsted inspection. The school also received an outstanding grading for Personal development, behaviour and welfare.
Inspectors praised the Acting Headteacher, Laura Wallis, for her strong leadership. “Since taking on this role, she has revitalised the ethos of the school and rapidly improved teaching and learning,” inspectors said.

Despite a ferocious wind, supporters of this local charity in ages ranging from one year old to 73 years old, battled across the bridge on bikes, trikes, scooters and on foot, to the finish line where they were greeted by family and friends. All the children who took part have been busy earning sponsorship for this challenge and will altogether have raised around £700 for the Pre-school.
Inspectors led by Senior HMI have found that ‘The educational experience pupils receive is remarkable… Pupil, parents and staff are rightly proud of this inclusive and harmonious school’.
The report says: ‘The school environment oozes vibrancy and stimulation. In every classroom corridor and corner of the school, there are jaw-dropping examples of pupils’ creativity and learning.’
