Beverley Folk Festival has been cancelled with people who have bought tickets in advanced facing prospect of not getting a refund on their purchases.
The event which has been going for 35 has ceased trading leaving those with advanced tickets out of pocket while the future of the event looks in doubt.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced that the current temporary closure of the bridge over the Dutch River at Rawcliffe Bridge has had to be extended.
It had been intended to reopen the road next Monday 20 November, but the road over the bridge will now be closed for a further four weeks, and is now scheduled to reopen on Monday, 18 December.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is to carry out major carriageway reconstruction on the A63, between Knedlington crossroads and the East Riding boundary, starting on Monday, 20 March.
The £750,000 project will involve reconstructing sections of the A63, which will be carried out on behalf of the council by Cemex Paving Solutions Ltd.
