Rugby League clubs Hull Kingston Rovers and Hull FC went head to head again for the second time in 24 hours. Today saw the U19s take to the field at Bishop Burton College with plenty of local pride at stake.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is delighted to announce that the Rugby League World Cup Trophy is coming to Beverley, on Tuesday, 9 April, and will be on display at Beverley Leisure Complex, home to Beverley’s own rugby league club, Beverley ARLFC
The blue and golds’ fixture against Hull Isberg at the Leisure Centre last Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The second annual Beverley Braves Rugby League Club Fun Run will take place on Beverley Westwood on Saturday 13th April starting at 11am.
The blue and golds saw their first action in a month due to recent postponements in the first round of the Council Cup last Saturday at Lambwath.
These two sides produced an entertaining encounter at the Beverley Leisure Centre last Saturday which but for the final ten minutes looked as if the result could have gone either way. It was probably the blue and gold’s best performance of the season against a side still unbeaten this season.
Beverley ARLC held Sportsman’s Dinner at Beverley Racecourse. There was a special guest at the event, Great Britain Rugby League internal Keith Senior.
The Beverley Braves under 10s rugby league squad ended the season with their presentations at Hodgsons recently. All the boys received a trophy in recognition of their efforts, presented by special guests.
Schoolgirl Leia Cole was presented with a national rugby league volunteer award at the Grand Final at Old Trafford last week. Leia gives up a great deal of her spare time to help coach the Beverley Braves cubs and under eights and this was originally recognised by the Hull

The blue and golds will host their plum Yorkshire Cup second round tie at the Leisure Centre kicking off at 2pm this Saturday. Pennine Premier League outfit Halifax Irish will be in town on Saturday. A full day’s entertainment will be on offer with the Beverley Braves
The blue and golds will be very disappointed to have not taken both points from this encounter at Haworth Park. They led 12-0 after 15 minutes and were 22-14 up with just 15 minutes to go.They clearly have the ability to win games like this but a little bit of tactical naivety at times proved to be their undoing.
Beverley RUFC will embark upon their new season on Saturday with a visit to Halifax where they will take on Old Crossleyans in the North One (East) fixture.
