The Beaver Pub hosted a successful Open Mic Night on Tuesday evening. Jointly organised by Graeme Jones, Rob Lever and Sam Oxley close to £200 was raised on the night for Cancer Research UK.
Sam Oxley and her grandfather John Ruddock shared held a joint birthday at Armstrongs Social Club. John was marking his 80th birthday while Sam was celebrating her 21st. The pair enjoyed a fancy dress party with friends and family who attended in some colourful costumes.
