The streets of Beverley were filled with people who came out to enjoy the Beverley Festival of Christmas. The event was officially opened by Charlie Dimmock before the main attraction, Santa Claus, paraded through the streets. Humberside Fire and Rescue Serivce were called to the Green Dragon pub on Saturday Market. They were called after a fire broke out in one of the bedrooms upstairs. Onlookers watched as fire-fighters from Beverley Station dealt with the incident. Eyewitnesses said smoke was pouring from the windows, but no one was hurt.
